What is this?

Story Studio Nova Scotia, my blog, is a collection of stories based on events
that occurred in Toronto in the 1960s, during which time I was a rookie police
officer with the Metro Toronto Police Mounted Unit.
The idea of becoming a policeman appealed more to my sense of humour than
to my sense of duty and you’ll find a variety of amusing and poignant recollections
from my time on the force.
While essentially a memoir of my time with the Mounted Unit, the stories
are also a perspective on the evolution of the city of Toronto through the
turbulent 1960s and a recollection of a type of policing which is rapidly
disappearing with the modern world.
Please feel free to comment on my posts, share them with friends, or email me directly.
My daughter Zoe takes care of posting stories each week, and she passes all
messages along to me.
